Ekaterina Pavlova

Ekaterina (Katya) Pavlova is a PhD student at the Faculty of Music and a Cambridge Trust scholar. Her PhD research is dedicated to musical-cultural exchanges between the Soviet Union and the German Democratic Republic which she approaches from the perspective of cultural diplomacy, identity-making, and Cold War politics and propaganda. Katya is fluent in English, Russian, German and Italian and is currently learning Chinese (Mandarin) and French.
