Hongyan Li is MPhil student in Film and Screen Studies at Robinson College, University of Cambridge, developing expertise in eco-cinema and documentaries. Prior joining University of Cambridge, she completed her BSc studies in International Communications Studies, and worked as a Research Fellow in Media and Culture at the School of International Communications at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
She has been contributing to multidisciplinary research subjects, being involved in TV series distribution on social media, short film festival, sustainable journalism and youth Internet culture.
As an active filmmaker, Hongyan is currently working on documentaries about the urbanization of rural areas in the outskirts of Shanghai, which will soon be exhibited in Hangzhou, China.
