Katherine Parkin

Katherine Parkin is a PhD student with the Department of Public Health and Primary Care, University of Cambridge. Her PhD looks at the prevalence and impact of adverse childhood experiences, and developing early identification tools for childhood mental health problems using routinely-collected linked data from social care, health, and education.

Prior to her PhD, Katherine worked for the NHS, initially for a mental health crisis support line and then as an Assistant Psychologist in a community mental health team. In her free time, Katherine draws and plays different sports including badminton and Australian rules football.

Katherine joined the ThinkLab because she is interested in improving access to Cambridge collections and research, and in finding creative solutions to engage with the public. You can connect with her on LinkedIn.
